Built at the turn of the 20th century as a place of respite for weary travelers, the Attwater Villa is a historically unique fixture in the city of Newport. Lovingly renovated and warmly appointed the Inn carries on today the traditions of it's past. Come try a different type of hospitality that leaves many of our guests referring to the Attwater as home during their stay.The Attwater Villa was built in 1910, before any of the larger hotels of Newport with a unique location which is central to all activities. A lovely stroll down to the waterfront will unveil a host of homes that date back to the 17th Century. Only one block away is the Tennis Hall of Fame and the beginning of the famous Mansions. Located directly behind the Villa and also within walking distance is scenic Cliff Walk and the beach.The Villa offers eight guest rooms and four lavish suites. Each accommodation is uniquely and comfortably furnished, all with private baths. The rooms have cable TV, telephones, and air conditioning to make your stay with us a pleasant one. Parking, as well as, a deluxe continental breakfast is included.Located next to The Main Inn is our charming Turn-of-the-Century cottage with two apartments for families, groups or extended stay visits. Decorated in a contemporary decor, each is designed to provide you with the amenities needed to make your stay with us a pleasant one. The second floor sleeps four to six persons and offers an eat-in kitchen, two bedrooms each with queen bed, full bathroom, and living room with sleeper sofa. The third floor sleeps two to four persons and offers a bedroom with double bed and skylight, small bath with shower, kitchen efficiency, and living room with sleeper sofa.
