Coastal seaside holiday accommodation, the perfect hideaway and an idyllic setting from which to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of Mapua by day or marvel at the clear starry skies at night.
Perched on a hillside with a panoramic view of the Mapua estuary and the distant Richmond Ranges. Twisted Pine Cottage is part of a 10 acre property with sloping lawns down to a private stretch of 'beach' along the estuary.
There are two bedrooms, one with a four poster queen-sized bed, the other having two super king singles.
In the lounge there is a double sofa-bed for extra guests.
The bathroom has an antique claw bath from which to soak up the view, plus a shower and full laundry facilities.
A deck goes all round the cottage providing a sunny vantage point from which to watch the ebb and flow of the tide or savour the changing light.
Guests have their own fully equipped, open plan kitchen with dining area and a comfortable lounge with a wood burning range.

Only 20 minutes from Nelson, the creative heart of the region, and 15 minutes from Motueka, the cottage is the perfect base from which to explore and enjoy all that Tasman Bay has to offer. It is just a five-minute drive to Mapua Village wharf, shops, and award-winning restaurants.

Architectural style
We found this 1930’s apple orchard manager’s cottage overlooking the estuary a couple of bays away from our land and looking rather sad. We liked the style and felt that it would nicely compliment the very modular, contemporary design of the main house. So we picked it up from the next peninsula and trucked it over it to its new resting place where it enjoys an even better view of the water and looks far happier.
